47 JOBNER BAGH

By far my favorite place to stay in Jaipur. A family-run house, mostly led by Shiva and his daughter, who took such great care of us. They are exactly the kind of people you hope to meet when you travel. Every corner of the house feels carefully thought through, yet everything is relaxed and unpretentious. The food is delicious, and everyone working at Jobner Bagh is truly wonderful.

RAJMAHAL palace raas

If you have a higher budget, this is without a doubt the place to stay in Jaipur. Rajmahal Palace was the former residence of the Maharajas of Jaipur and later home to Maharani Gayatri Devi. The palace was redesigned in the 1940s with a strong Art Deco influence, which still defines its character today.

We came for lunch and were truly impressed. The palace grounds are vast, with an expansive garden and countless spaces, each one carefully decorated with bold wallpapers and remarkable furniture. Walking through the property feels like moving through different worlds, all within the same palace.

SUM

A good, affordable option with nice interiors and a convenient location. It lacks a bit of warmth, though. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep, it works well. If you’re after somewhere to relax and enjoy common spaces, this is probably not the right fit. Worth noting: some rooms have very thin walls, and we could hear our neighbors talking.

THE JOHRI

Overall, the hotel is very nice and well located. It’s a luxury property with attentive staff and all the comfort you would expect. The rooms are spacious, with different areas, and the restaurant is a real highlight, we loved the food.

One thing to note: avoid booking the Moti room. It’s an added rooftop room and lacks the charm of the rest of the hotel. We also missed having larger common spaces to properly relax.

Anopura

A retreat located only 1h30 by car from Jaipur, making it an easy escape from the city.

The garden is large and beautifully maintained, a wonderful place to slow down and relax. The food was some of the best we had during our trip to India, and the service was kind and attentive.

Most of the rooms are private villas with their own pool and interiors are full of charm.

The hotel offers a wide range of activities, we highly recommend the afternoon jeep tour.
