I’m Júlia Juste from Barcelona.

This project started even before it was named OUTLIERS.

The word outlier means “a thing that is very different from others”, just like the places I like to find.

I have always collected beautiful hotels, restaurants, places to visit… It started as a map, then it became an instagram account and finally in 2020 I created this website where I curate beautiful, authentic and unique places to stay around the world.

I’m not particularly interested in luxury… here you will find expensively beautiful hotels but also small and tasteful rural stays.

Disclaimer: I haven’t been to all of them (I wish I did). OUTLIERS is my wish list that I’m sharing with you. All those places I find in magazines, social media, and dozens of other sources that I check regularly.

This is the result of endless hours of research. I really hope you like it. (Even if you do like any of my recommendations or you don’t, I would be very happy to know it).

MY ROOTS

My story makes a lot more sense if you know a bit more about my family.

My passion for travelling and aesthetics comes from my mum.

She has taught me to appreciate beauty and we have been very lucky to travel quite a lot together with my father and brother.

When we were very young, my parents wrote a book about beautiful rural stays in Catalunya, the region we’re from.

Some years later they founded Behomm, a home exchange community for creative people. Certainly my favourite way to travel. Through home exchange we have had the most incredible experiences and connections.

Thanks to my parents’ journey and our family trips I developed a special interest and passion for the world of travel and aesthetics.

GOOD MEMORIES

I enjoy many things when traveling: design, architecture, food, nature… But what makes every trip special is the people I travel with, and the people that I meet. I wanted to share some of my personal pictures of my trips together with my family and friends.
